Have you been in situations when you just don’t know if you will ever get what you prayed for? Maybe it’s for a promotion that you’ve been waiting for, or changing to a different department at the workplace, or a life partner perhaps?

Sometimes I think we need to come to a place where we can say to God, “Lord, I trust You and I surrender my life to You. You know the desires of my heart and what is best for me in Your plan. When I don’t see anything happening, I know You are in control and all things will work out for the good of those who are called according to Your purpose and plan. Your will be done, not mine.”

We tend to pray for things and want them to happen according to our plans and forget that it’s all about Jesus; not us. When you can’t see what is happening or understand, trust His heart. It’s not only having faith in Him, but also an act of surrendering our will and plans. Perhaps that’s our part in dying daily.
