During my personal quiet time yesterday, this verse came impressed on my heart.

Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again – rejoice.!

Philippians 4:4 (NLT)

I keep getting joy and happiness mixed up. Yes, it’s been said that happiness is dependent on circumstances. (eg. Happy because the weekend is approaching. Happy because you won a competition.) What about joy? Here’s a link that provides a detailed explanation.

As mentioned in the link I provided earlier, “Joy is rooted in who God is”.

In all honesty, I’ve not felt happy for quite a while. While we’re still in this pandemic tunnel, and life is still not normal, it’s very hard to be happy. However, I can learn to be joyful, in the Lord. I can make a choice to not worry about anything and pray about everything. I can also be joyful that God does hear us and we can be honest to Him. After all, He already knows everything.

Bible Verse

Don’t worry about anything; instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank Him for all He has done.
