Trust In The Lord

I’ve often wondered how it would be like to spend a few days in a vineyard at the countryside. Of course, in my country I can’t find such a place. However, I had a chance to visit Tuscany in 2018. I cannot forget the glorious view. What’s even better is visiting the cellar and tasting the wine. I bet there’s a sense of pride when the owner strolls along the vineyard and examines the bottles of wine in the cellar. Imagine tasting the wine after all the hard labour as surely it is hard work manning the vineyard and making sure the wine is good quality wine.

17 But Jesus replied, “My Father is always working, and so am I.” (John 5:17 NLT)

Are you facing a difficult situation? Do you feel like you’re stuck in a rut and just unable to move forward? Here’s a little encouragement, God loves you. He is still working and hasn’t left you behind. Sometimes we can’t see what is going on behind the scenes, but if we can see everything, where does faith fit in the picture? Trust in God. Trust His heart. It’s impossible to understand why some things happen to us and not to others. I’ve been there and often asked myself, “Why me?” In the end, I decided to just trust God. One day, when He calls me home, I will have many questions to ask Him. However, perhaps by then, I would already understand everything. I find that most cases, we only understand from hindsight. If you’re currently in the midst of the pruning process, trust in Him. Every good gardener will cut and remove parts of the plants that are not producing fruit or diseased.

Like the gardener caring for his crops, the Lord cares for you.

The Lord protects all those who love him,

    but he destroys the wicked.

Psalm 145:20 (NLT)
