Quite recently, I attended a meeting and found out that there are residents (owners) of condominium units that have not been paying the maintenance fee. This becomes a problem when collection of funds become insufficient for the maintenance. After all, that’s why you’re paying the maintenance fee, ie. to maintain the property. I find it hard to understand the mentality of such owners. It makes me wonder why they would want to buy the property without paying maintenance fee. A rundown property would lose its value.
It makes me thankful that our God isn’t like that. What He orders, He will pay. In other words, if there’s something that He requires us to do, He would surely equip us with what we need in order to do it. Of course, the equipping part comes in His way.
In Mark 11:1-6, when His disciples obeyed His instructions, they did see the young donkey and were allowed to bring the donkey to Jesus. Hence, Jesus knew ahead of time that the donkey would be there, and someone in the village would ask the disciples what they’re doing.
As Jesus and his disciples approached Jerusalem, they came to the towns of Bethphage and Bethany on the Mount of Olives. Jesus sent two of them on ahead. 2 “Go into that village over there,” he told them. “As soon as you enter it, you will see a young donkey tied there that no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. 3 If anyone asks, ‘What are you doing?’ just say, ‘The Lord needs it and will return it soon.’” 4 The two disciples left and found the colt standing in the street, tied outside the front door. 5 As they were untying it, some bystanders demanded, “What are you doing, untying that colt?” 6 They said what Jesus had told them to say, and they were permitted to take it. (Mark 11:1-6 NLT)
Has God moved you to do something? Maybe it’s to serve at church or to spend more time with your loved ones? Maybe it’s something as simple as sending a Thank You note to a friend?
