As this year draws to a close, what are you most thankful for? Maybe 2021 has been a tough year but one can usually find at least something to be thankful for.

The past few years have been anything but easy. Yes, I remember wondering if my prayers just ended up hitting the ceiling. Yes, I often wondered if God was listening. While I did not doubt God’s goodness, I couldn’t understand why I had to go through some of the things I went through; I knew He has His reasons. However, that didn’t shake off the dread of waking up each day wondering when the breakthrough was going to happen.
2022 will be a new chapter for me while I struggle during this transition period. Thankfully, I know where I’m heading. And yes, God listens.
Bible Verse
But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests,[a] a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.
1 Peter 2:9 (NLT)
Perhaps part of being chosen means we’ll go through some paths which would shape us so that we become more and more like Jesus.
