This is one of my favorite songs from the Hillsong album “You Are My World”. Have you ever felt unwanted or left out? I’ve never had to deal with prom nights because in my high school, there was no prom night. (Of course, this was years ago and I was also in an all girls school.) However I’ve seen quite a few movies whereby the male lead is afraid to approach the pretty girl in class because he’s afraid she would reject his invitation for prom night. The only experience I can share about feeling left out is sadly in church itself whereby I was just never included in this group that I wanted to belong to. This was many years ago. There was someone I really liked back then and no matter what, I could never be a part of that world – his world.

I can’t recall when I stopped trying but I remember the freedom of just being the person that God created me to be. I didn’t have to try to be someone else to be able to fit in the group. Time made me realize how blessed I am to be called a child of God. I treasured by the Lord.

I hope you’re reminded just how much God loves you – just as you are.
