This song is very special to me. It reminds me of the day I was baptized. I know there are times when we, as believers tend to doubt God when we are in the valley. Of course, it doesn’t get easier if the period we are stuck in the valley becomes very long and appear to be unending. I know because I’ve been there.

It is during those dark times that I remind myself of those times when God came through for me. By reminding, I’m actually encouraging myself. The truth remains that God is good. Our limited understanding usually prevents us from seeing or understanding when we’re in the middle of the mess. It’s usually in hindsight that we come to understand His wisdom and love.

If you’re going through a hard time today, know that God loves you.

So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. ⁷ Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.
